Max Applegarth is a fourth generation native of San Francisco. He studied Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and has specialized in high-end, luxury real estate in Marin and San Francisco for many years. He has been awarded the coveted “International President’s Premier” Top Producer designation, distinguishing his achievement in the top 1% of his colleagues, and with well over $250 Million in sales over the last few years, his record speaks for itself.

Max is well known for handling transactions at the highest level, and his discerning clients appreciate and rely on his ability to manage demanding and sensitive deals with the utmost discretion, integrity and professionalism. Indeed, many transactions are handled “off-market.” He prides himself on the ability to run his business almost exclusively on referrals and has cultivated an extensive network of highly qualified buyers and exceptional properties in all levels of the market. He is the grandson of famed San Francisco architect George Adrian Applegarth who designed many Beaux Arts styled properties including the Palace of the Legion of Honor, the Spreckles Mansion, and countless other San Francisco landmarks. Love and appreciation of architecture is in his blood.

Max lives with his wife and two children in Mill Valley. He is an active parent and member of the community, and participates in many social, educational and charitable causes. He has traveled extensively and lived internationally, but he loves the Bay Area most for its beauty and sophistication. As an avid sailor and private pilot, Max is able to enjoy the best that the Bay Area has to offer.
